Detective Stacey Pough was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation by the United States Postal Inspection Service for his assistance and support in an investigation involving an aggravated assault on a postal worker.
On October 29, 2011, the suspect, Edward Leon Henderson, Jr., confronted mail carrier William Dixon in the 700 block of Emma Street and threaten to shoot him because the suspect felt the mail carrier was blocking the street with his vehicle. Detective Pough was assigned the case and worked with the postal worker and Inspector Betsy Dobson in conducting the investigation. Once the investigation was complete, a federal warrant was issued for the arrest of Mr. Henderson. The case was prosecuted federally and Henderson got approximately 56 months in federal prison.
In a letter to Chief Womack, Inspector in Charge Tony Gomez wrote, “It has been our personal pleasure to work with Stacey and your Department. We appreciate his efforts and wanted to acknowledge his performance. Thank you for allowing us the ability to utilize Detective Pough’s investigative skills.”
