Lakeland Police K-9 Unit Wins Top Team Honors in Region Trials

The Lakeland Police Department's K-9 Unit won top 4-man team honors once again in the USPCA Region One trials held this week in Pensacola. This is the third year in a row the LPD K-9 Unit claimed the top 4-man team award.  The team competed against approximately 50 other teams to win this award.

Officers who comprised the team included Officer Charlie Dallas (K-9 Dynx), Officer Ted Sealey (K-9 Bodo), Officer Jeff Barrett (K-9 Beno), and Officer Rob Manrow (K-9 Bask).

Three officers finished in the top 10 individual standings. Officer Dallas came in 6th,  Officer Sealey was 7th, and Officer Barrett was 9th.

The commitment of our K-9 officers to train and excel in these trials is truly second to known. We congratulate them on their individual and team accomplishments.
