Lakeland Police responded to Metro PCS, 2826 Lakeland Highlands Road, on April 15, 2011, at approximately noon after a report of an armed robbery. Two suspects entered the business armed with guns and demanded cash. The suspects robbed the business and an individual inside the business and left with an undisclosed amount of cash and property driving a two door purple Grand Am with tinted windows.
The suspects were described as two black males, one wearing a mask and the other wearing a red bandana over his face.
Officers located the suspect vehicle in the Crystal Grove area, but the vehicle was able to evade police. A few minutes later, officers located the vehicle again unoccupied at 1104 S Rd 98 at Lake Bonny Apartments.
No one was injured during this robbery. Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Lakeland Police Department.
