Lakeland Police responded to Alley Gator Alley Bar, 1239 E Memorial Blvd, at approximately 2:00 am on May 13, 2011, after receiving a report of a disturbance and a man armed with a gun. Witnesses at the scene stated that two groups of men were involved in an argument that escalated. One of those involved, Patrick Baxter (DOB: 11/24/88 of Plant City, Florida) parked his car near the original location of the argument and fired a gun from the vehicle and fled the scene.
Officers responding to the scene observed the vehicle being driven by Baxter on Memorial Blvd and attempted to stop the vehicle. Baxter fled from police traveling onto Interstate 4. Baxter was stopped by officers after exiting I-4 on Park Road. Baxter was taken into custody and charged with Fleeing to Elude Officers (F3). Additional charges may be filed as this investigation continues.
